The Lord’s Supper / Communion

The Liverpool Church believes in regularly partaking of the Lord’s Supper / Communion, in accordance with Jesus’ instructions (1 Co 11:26) and does so as an annual commemoration of the Last Supper at Easter and as an ongoing witness to the suffering and death of our Lord and Saviour throughout the year.

The Lord’s Supper also announces the fact that Jesus will return (1 Cor 11:26).

The Liverpool Church offers a Lord’s Supper service (as part of its normal worship service) every three months, normally on the first Saturday in the month, though this can change

However, there is no requirement to take the bread and wine.

“Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?”
